“The Grey” Wolfs Down Horror Movie Cliches

 “The Grey” with Liam Neeson  won the weekend box office, and earned plaudits from all corners of the critical universe…but not from me.

What starts out as a classy, enigmatic film ultimately ends in a formulaic, paint by numbers, trudge through frozen tundra and icy clichés. Liam Neeson’s voice overs are right up there with Morgan Freeman’s, but this movie’s final frame moved one woman in the theater to SCREAM the perfect one sentence review. Find out what she said, and read my review at:

    “The Grey” is the story of survival after a plane crashes in Alaska. Title refers to the pack of wolves who are stalking the seven men who miraculously lived through the disaster. Unfortunately, get ridiculous towards the end.

    GRADE = “B-“
